Despicable Me VS. Jumanji

* = So this is what it's come to?

Oh Super Bowl you were a delight. Actually honestly the entire weekend was pretty damn fun. Friday we worked late, but hung out together watching the DVR after I got my ass off the floor. I apparently had some sort of ‘episode’ then a seizure. Luckily Cassandra was right there and stopped it from being a lot worse than it was. We were able to watch the brilliant Community episode “Advanced Dungeons & Dragons” and the newest episode of Young Justice. Y.J. dropped some Professor Ivo, Amazo, and Black Canary on us. The show is starting to fine its legs a bit. I’m starting to obsess over who might be the members of “The Light”, at the end of Friday’s episode we now know that The Brain is one member. I’m also relatively confident one is Luthor. Which leaves a whole lot of possibilities. Mike surmises one has to be Vandal Savage; one of those silhouettes looks like old school Toyman to me. I’m hoping for Grodd, Black Manta, Doctor Sivana, Ras al Ghul, or some of the other big hitters. Time will tell.

Saturday we were busy, but it was totally worth it as Italian Apocalypse Movie-A-Thon was pretty epic, but what else would you expect when you match three films starring Fred Williamson with alcohol.

Just for the record we watched, or maybe endured is a better word, The Bronx Warriors, The New Gladiators, & The New Barbarians. Oh and I learned something from the first movie, The New Barbarians, especially, NEVER trust dudes in white jumpsuits, with bad hair, and who drive supped up golf carts, they just want to rape you. But I digress, Ant, Mighty Mike, and I drank a lot. And by ‘a lot’ I mean WAY TO MUCH. I’m not saying I’ll never drink again, because that would be a lie, but I will say that I’ll be slowing that roll for the foreseeable future. It was a nice night to b.s., joke, get Mohawks, ice injured ankles, see movie ‘Hard Lefts’, tell tales, and of course as the wee hours of the night came into play share WAY to much personal information. Oh well, these are the nights I live for.

Sunday we got together with M.C.M. and ate some food that was beyond words. M.C.M. brought over a buffalo chicken dip that words would not do justice. There was a black bean humus, some fantastic ‘souped’ up Mac n’ Cheese, and a very rich and velvety French Onion Soup. I ate like a starving man, and I can’t wait to grub on the leftovers. Overall the game was very entertaining as well even if the ‘Dirty ‘Sconies’ won. I have to give credit to Dom Capers, dude called an incredible defensive game. I wasn’t blown away by the Packer’s offense, but it was good enough to win. In the end Pittsburg just made WAY to many mistakes. The Packers have all the tools to make a serious run of multiple Super Bowls as long as they can keep Aaron Rogers healthy. The sad part is football is over, and once March Madness ends we’ll be wading through the Sport’s Abyss once again.

Since we’re back in the proverbial saddle how ‘bout some

RANDOM CRAP!

- I’m keeping the Mohawk for a while it looks good on me.
- Charlene is now roped into D&D.

So it’ll be Mighty Mike, Cassandra, Ant, Char, maybe Joe, and I’m still waiting to hear back from Heidi and possibly here ‘Nerd Robin’ Bob. I’m going to start putting together the first adventure this week. The wheel is turning, yup that’s right my brain only has one wheel.
- Bitter Vikings fan and obnoxious Packer fan are making the radio both annoying and yet bizarrely entertaining today.
- Ant and I are going to customize the HELL out of some Ravenloft this weekend in “The Cloud”! Between his amazing Photoshop skills, our combined imagination, and the templates on Board Game Geek dot com I actually fear what we are going to come up with. I fear it because they are going to be that AWESOME!
- Captain America actually has me sort of excited.
- That was by far the worst freakin’ halftime performance ever. It was just awful.
- The other night I was able to knock out my eight Lions of Albion ‘space soldiers' for the Basement Sci-Fi War & they look pretty good. There is a lot to paint. I really need to get after all the fantasy minis that I have primed. In fact I’m sure there is quiet a bit there that would inspire some adventures themselves. Maybe I’ll take a stab at that the next few weeks.

And with that I’m out.

“I've got wheels of polished steel
I've got tires that grab the road
I've got seats that selflessly hold my friends
And a trunk that can carry the heaviest of loads

I've got a mind that can steer me to your house
And a heart that can bring you red flowers
My intentions are good and earnest and true
But under my hood is internal combustion

And Satan is my motor
Hear my motor purr
The Satan is my motor, motor
I hear my motor purr
A Satan is the only one who seems to understand

I've got brakes
I'm wide awake
I can stop this car at any time
At the very last second, I can change directions
Turn completely around if I feel so inclined

I've got a mind that can steer me to your house
And a heart that can bring you red flowers
My intentions are good and earnest and true
But under my hood is internal combustion power

And Satan is my motor
I hear my motor purr
A Satan is my motor, motor
I hear my motor purr
A Satan is the only one who seems to understand
A Satan is my motor

Hear my motor purr
Satan is the only one who seems to understand”

  1. If Bob is my 'Nerd Robin', does that mean I'm Batman?!?! Woo hoo! I'm batman!

By the by, Erca gave me some interesting photos from back in the day, as in, some parties at 1101 Grand, Travis' house, and your old apartment. Hilarious. I'll have to scan them, eventually.

  2. Blunt - Yes you are Zombie Nerd Batman. Not just Batman, but Zombie Nerd Batman, RESPEK(s)!

Nice, I'm always up for seeing horrible pictures.

    So I have a few questions;
    - How's the painting going, and by 'painting' I mean those minis.
    - Are you in for D&D, 'cause March is approaching quickly.
    - M&M's in oatmeal, Pro or Con?
