Leprechaun Vs. Fair Game

$4,000.00. That is what we are out to have our sewer pipe redone today. Now I don’t know about you, but to me that is a TON of money. Seriously. The thing is we had saved, paid off, and planned our way to a point where we were out from under the thumb of debt. ‘The Plan’ had FINALLY come to fruition, and we were about to embark on a time of unrivaled prosperity and opportunity, all that work gone down a drain that is no longer working, and with it $4,000.00.

I’m not sure how I’m supposed to feel about this. Part of me wants to be mad, but when we do the math it won’t be that difficult to pay off, in fact less than a year. This doesn’t even take into account the fact that once this is done we should NEVER have to deal with any of this again. EVER! So the reality is while I’m miffed, and more than a little stressed, I’m not that upset. It does put some serious fiscal crimps into our ‘Plan’, but you know what it’ll just need to be modified.

Really we just need a stress respite. It’s been non-stop since Halloween and it hasn’t let up. The funny thing is it has all been situations where it could have been ‘worse’. I think my feelings on that are why couldn’t have just been ‘better’? Maybe this will end up being a good thing, sort of a re-focusing on priorities type of event. Perhaps it’s an opportunity to re-work our ‘Plan’ and change the time table on some things. See what I’m doing there, I’m trying desperately to be positive. It doesn’t look good on me does it?

GAH!

So in order to deal with my frustrations I watched disc 1 of CM Punk: Best In The World (Infinite *’s out of 5!) last night.
It was the documentary disc and let me just say, “WOW!” I’ve always been a ‘Closet Wrestling Guy’. It’s that weird thing that I enjoy but am sort of humiliated by my love of it. I dug the 80’s WWF and even the NWA before it became WCW. Then in the 90’s I was hooked again with the ‘Attitude Era’ and the ‘Monday Night War’ between WWF and WCW where it seemed anything could happen. During that time period though I discovered ECW and I really got into Wrestling as a whole again. Since then my interest has ebbed and flowed depending on time and availability of ‘good product’. Every time I thought I was “OUT!” something would pull me back in; Lucha Libre, N.W.O., the “Invasion” storyline, Ring Of Honor, Chikara, discovering Puroresu etc. The thing is none of them had too much staying power. Then about a year or so ago CM Punk dropped ‘The Promo’ on RAW, and re-ignited my interest, as well as a lot of other people. He went on stage and dropped a scathing promo regarding his feelings about WWE, the McMahons, the fans, etc. It was and remains one of the single best promos ever cut. I’d dug Punk’s work ever since seeing his famous three matches with Samoa Joe in Ring Of Honor, and even went so far as to hunt down the so-called ‘Summer Of Punk’ in R.O.H. just to get a feel for what all the fuss was about. The man doesn’t have bad matches, and he does NOT cut bad promos. He is what I dig about wrestling; talented performers, who take their craft seriously, but don’t insult my intelligence. After seeing his R.O.H. stuff I just sort of figured that in WWE he’d be just another ‘King Of The Indy(s)’ that they would destroy. That is Vince’s M.O. after all, to take the ‘Toys’ of others use them, break them, and dump them. It appears he tried that with Punk, he actually tried it several times, and he failed. Not only did he fail, but he created a monster in the process.
If anything Punk now is light years beyond what he’s ever been. He’s been the company’s best ‘Face’ (that’s a good guy for those that don’t know), he’s also been the best ‘Heel’ (that’s a bad guy) in ALL of wrestling, and at times he’s been every shade in-between. He’s done all this without compromise and without the ‘Look’ that Vince so loves. He’s not a ‘roided out body builder with a three word vocabulary, he’s not 6’5, he doesn’t have model looks. He’s a tattooed up, scruffy, skinny dude who can wrestle his ass off and talk shit like no other. He’s smart and he knows how to push the buttons of the crowd and the viewers. For the love of all that’s holy just watch his ‘Straight Edge Society’ stuff where he is basically playing Straight Edge Angry Wrestling Jesus. It’s brilliant! It’s funny, sort of creepy in a cultish way, the matches and ‘stories’ are solid, and he kills it on the promo’s. Suffice to say I went into the documentary interested, I was ill prepared for how blown away I was. It’s a damn fine honest piece on a complicated guy. He’s fiercely loyal to friends and ‘Family’, and use that term in quotes because he is estranged from his biological family. He is a loner but a leader, and he’s sort of a prick. I mean he REALLY seems like a guy you would want to hang out and talk comics with, but you’d have a really tough time getting through to him easily. There was a TON of conversations in the film that broke ‘KAYFAB’, which is where we stop pretending that wrestling is real. I was shocked a bit by that, especially by who was doing it. At the same time this just solidified my feelings on Paul Heyman. He was, and is, one of the most creative, intelligent, and progressive thinking individuals in the business. The fact that he saw all this in Punk, just like he did with ECW, and stood by him amazes me. It also re-affirms my idea that the writers and guys like Michael Hayes over at WWE corporate have no F’Ning idea what they are doing, the only saving grace was listening to Triple H, now the head of talent relations, talk about his experiences with Punk and how to best utilize him. That man has a head for the business, IF he can just stop backstage politicking he could literally change the industry. The story behind the now infamous ‘Promo’ and the subsequent Money In The Bank match in Chicago are just incredible. This doesn’t even begin to touch all the other aspects of Punk like his tight relationship with the guys from the band Rancid, his upbringing, what he did for Joey Mercury, etc. The guy has an incredible story. So whether or not you dig on wrestling, or maybe you’re just a ‘Closet Wrestling Fan’ like myself, do yourself a favor and watch this documentary, it is fantastic story about a guy who will never compromise his personal moral code or sell out.

Awhile back Battlin’ Bob lent me Crossed (*** ½ out of 5) by Garth Ennis.
I’m not a Garth Ennis guy. I know that will upset some folks, but I thought Preacher was about 30 issues too long and I’ve never thought much of The Boys. That being said his ‘Welcome Back Frank’ Punisher run is without peer. So I figured I’d give Ennis’ take on survival horror a shot. Well it’s not terrible, in fact it’s alright. It is a bit like an expanded version of ‘The Crazies’, but that’s not a bad thing. I’m not sure why Ennis’ feels the need to beat us over the head with gore, but hey that’s his shtick, just like he loves to engage in ‘de-constructionism’ just for the sake of it. I’ve never really understood the almost self-loathing comic writer. You know the one who obviously thinks that 4 Color Comics are ‘Bullocks’, but yet makes his or her living writing them. Ennis’ is the poster child for this, but I digress, he does horror decently. He keeps the pace tight, doesn’t feel the need to tell us the whys and wherefores, and in the end allows us to cling to our humanity just enough to ‘enjoy’ the tale. If you dig the survival horror genre and don’t mind a LOT of rape, dismemberment, and general gore then you might want to give this story a bit of time.

How ‘bout we wrap this up with some…

RANDOM CRAP!

- I’m hoping the 360 arrives tonight or tomorrow because every moment where I have to KNOW that I own WWE ’13 and can’t play it is like a million tiny daggers into my very soul.
In fact I’m already trying to figure out how I can swing X-Box Live Gold membership for a month so I can download all the CAW’s I want as well as all the DLC stuff. Stupid Microsoft trying to take me money don’t they know that I just want a good version of Kenta Kobashi so I can beat the piss out of Ryback?
- I’m sick and the cold medicine I’m taking messes up my stomach. That’s right it’s “Super Fun Happy Times” right now.
- This Saturday and Sunday I might not even leave my couch. Seriously.
- The box chock full o’ Munchkin games came the other day, now I just need to gather around me a group to play.
- David and I rocked out another Podcast this week, it was sort of all over the place, but having listened back to it now it was quiet funny. I think David’s creepy southern accent is worth the listen by itself.
- I’ve been wrapping Christmas presents and have come to the conclusion that I’m terrible at it. Just terrible. However I think I will get some significant satisfaction out of watching people rip through that paper. I love Christmas.
- Tomorrow night is the “They Call Me Panda” Birthday for Hides. It’s a night of inexpensive sushi, loudness, Giant Spider Invasion MST3K, beverages, and Crappy BINGO! I’m hoping that it super fun for her as if anyone I know deserves a rockin’ b-day it’s her.

Alright I’ve dominated enough of everyone’s time, including my own, back to day dreaming…

Out Of Africa Vs. Panic Room

I’m not sure I have a lot to talk about today as I’m worn out from a weekend of surviving my Family, a literal shit storm in the downstairs bathroom, and being used as a trampoline by my two Nephews and one Niece. First off let me say if you haven’t listened to the newest Podcast then I feel sorry for you, it was amazing. I only wish my Brother would have played guitar throughout the whole thing, as he really is an amazing guitarist.

I’m not going to go into details about the family visit, because you can just listen to the Podcast if you care to know. I’m also not going to go into The Great Holiday Poo Storm Of 2012 except to say my toilets, showers, and drains are working. Currently. Now that it is all over I’m hoping that they had a good time, for the most part I did. Dave got a chance to spend some time ‘Among The Living’ on Thursday night and I think he was properly indoctrinated into my Family. I think this just led to the Podcast being even better because of the familiarity. So in summation, there were things that annoyed me, there were things that I wish would have never ended. Maybe that’s what life is all about though, hopefully we can do it all again as often as time, distance, etc. allow.

To wrap up here are my…

TOP TEN THANKSGIVING HIGHLIGHTS!

10) Jamming out to the Beatles ‘White Album’ with my Mom on the way back from St. Cloud. There are rare moments in your life where you feel like you are in sync with someone, sort of like you ‘get’ each other. That was one for me, lord knows there haven’t been that many between myself and my Mother, so when I get one I want to hold onto it tightly.

9) Watching Star Wars with Lucas. Luke had never seen Star War, episode 4. My Brother allowed me to be the one to show it to him, and that meant the world to me. Sure he didn’t make it through it, but c’mon he’s 5 cut him some slack. It was just cool to sit around my living room and watch that with my Family.

8) Thanksgiving at my In-Laws. Granted this could have gone better on a lot of different levels due to a lot of different folks, but overall I’d call it a success. The food was great, my in-laws are just amazing people, and best of all Luke got to hang out with Sean, Maddie, and Zoe. They had a blast, and really that was all that mattered to me.

7) Thanksgiving Chili. I think I might start doing Chili that way all the time. The slow oven roasting of the beef before the putting it into the crock pot really added a TON of flavor. I think next time I’ll take it out and let it cool, THEN cube it rather than shred it, either way it earned high marks from everyone who at it.

6) Dave hanging out on Thursday night. I’m not sure why my sister and David hit it off so much, but they have. She demanded he show up on Thursday night and hang out. SO my siblings and I were drinking with my mom, relaxing, when I was forced to call him and make him come over. What followed was a lot of Hostess mini donuts, Cheeze-its, and laughs. Welcome David, WELCOME!

5) The Weather. At first I was pissed when as they pulled into the drive way it started to sleet after hearing over and over again from the Weather Terrorists about how there was a ZERO chance for precipitation. Then when it began to snow it sort of made it seem like the holidays. Luke getting to see that also was a big deal because he doesn’t get to see much of it down in Kansas.

4) The opening of gifts. You have to understand that my brother and sister are HUGE Scrooges when it comes to giving gifts; they just REFUSE to do it. I have been giving them all, via the mail, their Christmas gifts despite protests for as long as I’ve lived ‘Up North’. This is the first time in over ten years I’ve gotten to see them open their gifts. Getting to see that was the best gift they could have given me.

3) Playing LEGO’s with Luke. I don’t get to see my nephew very often, and I regret that terribly. So when I get the chance to actually sit down and play with him it is a treat. He was so eager to just do everything together it blew me away. That is as important as I’ve felt in a LONG time to anyone besides me Wife.

2) The Great Holiday Poo Storm Of 2012. It could have been WAY worse. Without my lovely wife, my really smart and driven brother, my surprisingly sympathetic sister, my stoic sister-in-law, my giving mother, and my always excited nephew it would have been.

1) The Podcast. What is there to say, but go listen to it, if you read this Blog then rest secure in the knowledge that you’ll dig it. I only wish we could have those two on more often.

So the AWESOME Dave Gross reads this Blog; I know crazy. He had asked what Cassandra’s thoughts where on his new book, so without further ado Cassandra’s musings on The Queen of Thorns:
“I never try to write a review about a book or a movie without being able to discuss one or two elements I would like to change but that will be hard to do with Queen of Thorns. I loved this book!! I thoroughly enjoy the way Dave Gross weaves Radovan’s and Count Jeggare’s viewpoints into their individual chapters and how he is able to write a novel that simultaneously not below or above the average reader’s intelligence. The descriptive language is colorful and does not bog down the pace of the story while the story itself will have you saying “just one more chapter” every time you try to put it down. I am looking forward to reading the online story Ben has been telling me about and will try to patiently await my turn at Master of Devils. Thankfully Ben reads very fast! One little thing for Mr. Gross who Ben constantly reminds me reads these posts, what is the pronunciation for your two characters as this is a source of debate in our house?”

Two exclamation points? Really? Get your own blog Cassandra! How ‘bout some…

RANDOM CRAP!

- No Shattered Star preview this week. We’ll all just have to survive without them.
- I purchased an X-Box 360 today. That means that I’ll be buying WWE ’13 ASAP as well. I can’t wait to ‘whup ass’ on a new console!
- I guess my family did give me one other gift, a cold. I have a head cold and when you add that to my exhaustion and the stress you have one grumpy and tired Me.
- I won’t lie about it; it felt good this last weekend to be the coolest Uncle ever.
- I’m almost done with Essential Avengers Vol. 4, I expected a LOT more out of the Kree/Skrull War. It’s not bad, just abrupt.
- Friday night is the “They Call Me Panda Birthday”; cheap sushi, beverages, loudness, and Crappy BINGO. I just hope Heidi enjoys it.
- My Bro-In-Law Lee has surgery tomorrow to hopefully fix his ailing back. Good luck to you sir.

I think that’s all I’ve got today.

“I saw the colossal landscape
Of which I never was a part
It was a magical day
Of which I'd never seen before

The first time I saw colossal girl
The first time I saw colossal girl

Such glowing mountains before us
Pillars of life all fade away
Of all the things I need to say girl
All of these words are in my way

The first time I saw colossal girl

Well she's running to the hills again
Can you tell me if she'll ever return
She must be mother nature’s child
Cause she's runnin' to the call of the wild
She's talkin' to the trees again
Tellin' me that she's one of them
Lookin' at the bird in the tree
Though she's never gonna notice me

Oh is my love a confession
Will I just put it back today
If I had love left to give you
Would you still throw it away

The first time I saw colossal girl
The first time I saw colossal girl

Well she's running to the hills again
Can you tell me if she'll ever return
She must be mother nature’s child
Cause she's runnin' to the call of the wild
She's talkin' to the trees again
Tellin' me that she's one of them
Lookin' at the bird in the tree
Though she's never gonna notice me

Can you remember the first time we met
Living together in colossal times
Some things are given with no reason why
Living together in colossal times
I'm just a gypsy with wondering eyes
I'll tell you secrets that send you to sleep
All I can give you is all of my love
These are the things I can give you to keep”

Behind Enemy Lines Vs. The Insider

* = STOP JUDGING ME!

The Christmas shopping is almost done. ALMOST! It’s not even December and I may finally have gotten out in front of the potential nightmare and put myself in a position to just survive the next week in style. Once we get through the Thanksgiving arrival of ‘The Fam.’, I think that I’ll be able to just breathe a sigh of relief and get my screwed back on straight. Not to mention I hope to be FAR less busy, as there are a LOT of Nerdy things that are being sort of neglected right now.

So apparently my sister was ‘irked’ at my bringing up my anxiety at their visit on the Podcast last week. At first I felt bad to have caused her distress, then as she proceeded to hold three conversations with people she was there with and leaves me holding on listening to said useless babble I remembered THIS is why I get full of anxiety around them. They think differently than I do. Don’t get me wrong, I love my sister and brother to death; in fact I love them so much that sometimes I want to kill them. However they view the world and everything in it differently. The idea of four days or so with little to no escape from them is not an easy thing for me. This doesn’t even take into account that basically I have met my brother’s wife all of 10 times. She seems great, but I don’t know her. At least with Luke he’s a kid and kids I get. I guess I look at from the perspective that I have every right to freak out a bit. Holidays are hard enough, throw in a family you don’t really understand and barely see and it can be very difficult to not be worked up over.

It’s not like it won’t be fun. It’s basically a Christmas in November, lots of good food, my sister on the Podcast, and a chance to spend a bit of time with my Family. It’s just hard sometimes to rectify my anxiety at dealing with them and my desire for it to be a wonderful time with the fact that I know them and know how difficult it can be for me to deal with them. I just keep telling myself it won’t be as bad as I think, and hope that it’ll be something they enjoy.

I have a love/hate relationship with this time of year. There is so much to enjoy, while there is so much stress. Is it strange to pine for a time of year where you get to see unbridled joy in your friends and family and at the same time loathe the fact that the vast majority of humanity loses all semblance of civility during the same said time? Perhaps it’s the birthday doldrums of getting older, or the anniversary of my father’s death, or any number of other neurotic and annoying ‘things’ that bother me. Because I know when I get to see my friends and family open up gifts that it’s all worth it. Every stinkin’ bit of it.

Anywho, another week another Shattered Star preview;
This week we only were graced with one preview, and it is the Uncommon Wyvern! I’d always thought of Wyverns as being dark in coloration, mainly brown, as to better ambush their enemies. That being said I LOVE this paint job! The blue and orange color pop together, in fact I could see the ambush scenario coming from this beastie dropping out of a clear sky to eat your horses.
The other big thing about this mini I love is that dynamic pose. The sculptor should be lauded here. This mini just looks great. That pose screams ATTACK! Add into that the sheer size of this mini, as you can see in the second picture when compared to a Medium mini. It’s not Giant or Gargantuan, it’s a steady Large mini. It looms, but doesn’t take up so much room that you feel like you couldn’t use this beastie in a swarm. In fact a flock of hungry Wyverns raiding from the sky like a pack of hungry wolves would be a pretty damn entertaining encounter. Put your PC’s on a cliff or mountain pass with some potential environmental hazards and then have three to four of these monsters swoop in with those slavering maws and poison stinger tales and I think you have a recipe for fun, fun for me at least. If you can’t tell, due to sculpt, the paint, the size, and the Uncommon rarity of this particular beastie this one is going to be a MUST BUY for me.

Big Podcast week! David and I have planned a Podcast on Wednesday night were we will apparently be sans guest, at my cohort’s request. I have no earthly idea what we’ll talk about, but I’m thinking we’ll hit up some of our old ‘bits’, perhaps I’ll try and figure out some new ones as well. Then Friday night, Sarah is on. I think I want to talk about what we are ‘thankful’ for that night, as well as what we are thankful we don’t have to do or put up with any more. The thing about Sarah is I won’t have to work very hard with her there. She’ll take care of that just by talking. I look forward to tales of pooping one’s self, Black Mormon, midget obsessions, and her insatiable love of reality television. I’m not sure it’ll eclipse the first Nephew Philip episode or the Dangerous Dan episode, but it has that potential.

I am not much of a Rick Remender fan, he’s not bad, but he’s just never blown me away. As anyone who frequents this blog or gets into a comic discussion knows I have serious issues with the current Marvel Universe as well. In fact I really hated what happened to some of my favorite characters in Avengers Vs. X-Men, which just wasn’t very good. The fact that Cyclops basically lost his shit, offed Professor X, and is now a ‘bad’ guy bothers me. I get it Marvel you need to change characters to ‘grow’ them, but it just seems sort of an odd choice even with all the buildup. All that complaining aside Uncanny Avengers has my attention. Rick Remender and Steve McNiven have my UNDIVIDED attention.
Look at that line-up! Cap, Thor, Scarlet Witch, a suddenly NOT dead Wasp, Rogue, Sunfire in his classic outfit, Wolverine, Wonder Man, and Havok in the leadership role has my attention. It’s just chock full of potential. Not to mention it looks as if Remender is going to try and do a bit of character rebuilding with Wonder Man after Bendis took his patented ‘dump’ on him by having him become a pseudo-villain. Also wasn’t Sunfire a bad guy most recently? With Marvel I sometimes lose track as it changes so damn much. Sunfire is a personal favorite of mine, and that classic costume is fantastic. Every team needs an arrogant prick on it, especially one who is a fervent Japanese nationalist. You have a post ‘AvX’ angry Rouge who apparently is NOT going to be with Magneto any longer, who is going to have to deal with the fact that most stalwart Avengers, and fans, remember her as someone who wrecked them in her early appearances. That could add significant tension. Oh yeah, I’m sure all the Mutants on the team aren’t that fond of Scarlet ‘No More Mutants’ Witch either. Back to Wonder Man for a bit, I think in reading Remender talk about it we are FINALLY going to get some resolution to his relationship with Scarlet Witch. It’s so strange that some writers have always gotten these two’s relationship while others have done everything in their power to screw it up. It’s really simple; Simon Williams is unabashedly and utterly in love with Wanda Maximoff, always has been always will be. She on the other hand is a hot mess. She's Magneto's daughter, she married an synthoid who had Wonder Man's brain patterns, she had kids with him who were erased from reality, she went bonkers and killed a bunch of her long time friends, then created a reality with her powers where Mutants ruled, and to top it all off after that uttered the whole 'No More Mutants' nonesense.  Which of course left us readers dealing with that crap.  I'm glad she's back, but this is a major league reclamation project.  I also am digging the idea that according to Remender Wonder Man is going to be a pacifist, so one of the strongest and most un-killable heroes in the Marvel Universe is going non-violent! It’s fantastic little twist. Throw in that this is a direct reaction the X-Men and Avengers having a serious throw down, the attempt to curb Mutant hate in the populace, the Red Skull being the main antagonist early, and Havok being the leader and I think there is ‘gold in them there hills’. The dynamic of Cap and Havok alone could be gold. Maybe I’m just excited that between Hickman and Remender we’ll have an Avengers title with ‘No More Bendis’, either way I’m sort of excited to see what happens next again.

How about we start wrappin’ this thing up with some…

RANDOM CRAP!

- Speaking of Super Heroes, I’m thinking in March of doing a CONTEST OF CHAMPIONS using the fantastic Super System Rules. People who want to play will simply have to choose their teams roster, gather up or secure minis with, and then ‘build’ their characters, using the easy to learn and use Super System Rules. Then we’d pit our ‘Dream Teams’ against one another in my basement. I’ll have to gauge interest.
- Thank you to Mick for the Holiday shopping excursion on Sunday.
- Since Hostess is going out of business I hit up the outlet store in our neck of the woods the other day. Holy crap was it creepy to see a store that empty. I grabbed two heaping grocery bags worth of goods, mainly Zingers as they are Cassandra’s favorite, and spent like $14.00. I felt bad for the gals who work there as they’ll soon be out of work and you could see it on their faces. It’s strange to think that the company that made so many sweets that ate as a kid will be gone.
- Thanks to Mike for ‘hookin’ up a brutha’ with some Holiday deals.
- So we bought a new television. It’ll be here any time from Wed. to next Tuesday. It’s a technological step up from what we’re rocking right now. I’m hoping that a co-worker will take our current monstrosity. The beast served us well for like 7 years. In fact it still runs like an engine, we just wanted something a bit lighter and bigger. I had hoped to have it before ‘The Fam.’ arrived, but the reality is I’ll take what I can get. Thanks to Charlene for helping us out in the process of making this purchase.
- David finally blogged again! Thank you Dave.
- The blower/mulcher we have is amazing. Saturday morning I spent like 2 and a half hours filling up the yard waste bin. Without that thing we would have needed at LEAST another two weeks of filling that thing just to get most of the leaves gone. As it is we just need to either bag the bit that’s left or hope that they’ll take yard waste one more week. Plus it’s super fun to blow the leaves across the lawn like a wave.
- We went to ‘The Cloud’ on Saturday for Cassandra’s B-day. While were there we picked up two doors, solid oak baby, to build our head board with. It’s going to be these two boards, sanded and stained, with a piece of decorative wrought iron between. We might even use some bannisters on the side to secure it. I think when it’s all said and done it’ll look incredible. At the same time I have to again say thanks to my Mom-In-Law for the amazing homemade pizza. Every time I think she’s topped herself, she blows me away again. She’s ruining everyone else’s pizza for me.
- Lots of ‘thanking’ going on today.

Well I think that’s about all I have in me today.

“When the time comes to documentary what we did here
The transcription won't really be that hard
'Cos i'm a woman eating monster
With a suitcase full of fire
And pink flamingos decorate my yard

Yeah! Pink flamingos decorate my yard!

Do you remember that young girl who did all those things with her body?
Yeah, I guess you could say it was me who gave her her start!
I hear she's working for President Clinton the way she used to work for me
But my pink flamingos keep pecking at her heart

My pink flamingos keep pecking at her heart!

And they never fly away
In my front yard they stay
And, you know, baby
I sometimes find it odd
You've got to climb the statue of the demon to get closer to God!

Woah!

Woah!

Now there's a crowd outside demanding my resignation
And a policeman about to draw his gun
Seems I've lost this battle
But the war has just begun
'Cos my pink flamingos will outlive everyone

Yeah my pink flamingos will outlive everyone!

And they never fly away
In my front yard they stay
And, you know, baby
I sometimes find it odd
You've got to climb the statue of the demon to get closer to God!”
